📢 Awareness Campaigns

♻️ Plastic-Free Bangladesh

Slogan: Break Free from Plastic, Live Green, Live Clean.

Plastic pollution is choking rivers, harming animals, and creating toxic waste in Bangladesh. As Muslims, protecting the Earth is part of our Amanah (trust) from Allah.

  • Launch “Plastic-Free Friday” events at mosques and educational institutions.
  • Distribute reusable cloth or jute bags during Jummah prayers.
  • Partner with businesses to reduce single-use plastics.
  • Deliver awareness khutbahs (sermons) on the dangers of plastic.

⛰️ Ban Hill Cutting & Protect Wildlife

Slogan: Save Hills, Save Homes, Save Lives.

Hill cutting in Chattogram, Sylhet, and other areas destroys ecosystems, increases landslides, and harms wildlife. Islam teaches us to protect all of Allah’s creation.

  • Organize awareness rallies and seminars in hill districts.
  • Petition for stricter enforcement of laws against hill cutting.
  • Conduct wildlife awareness workshops in educational institutions.
  • Launch digital campaigns: “Protect Our Hills, Protect Our Future.”

🚲 Green Transport Campaign

Slogan: Ride Clean, Breathe Green.

Air pollution from vehicles is a major cause of illness in Bangladesh. Green transport reduces emissions and builds healthier cities.

  • Promote cycling and walking clubs.
  • Campaign for electric vehicles and CNG instead of diesel/petrol.
  • Encourage carpooling for Jummah prayers and Eid.
  • Plant trees beside highways to absorb carbon.

🏡 Urban Gardening & Rooftop Farming

Slogan: Grow Green in Every Space.

Cities like Dhaka and Chattogram lack green spaces. Urban gardens and rooftop farming improve air quality, provide food, and connect people with nature.

  • Train youth and women in rooftop vegetable gardening.
  • Promote mosque rooftops as model green spaces.
  • Launch a “One Home, One Plant” campaign.
  • Organize competitions for the best eco-friendly rooftop gardens.

🌊 Clean River, Clean Life

Slogan: Pure Rivers, Healthy Future.

Rivers like the Buriganga, Shitalakhya, and Karnaphuli are polluted with toxic waste. Clean rivers mean clean water, healthy fish, and stronger ecosystems.

  • Organize river-cleaning volunteer drives.
  • Campaign for waste-free Eid-ul-Adha (no blood/plastic in rivers).
  • Partner with social organizations for “Adopt a River” projects.
  • Deliver sermons on the Islamic duty to keep water sources clean.

🌳 Save Trees, Plant Trees

Slogan: One Tree, One Life.

Deforestation worsens climate change, heat, and floods. Planting trees is both charity (sadaqah jariyah) and worship.

  • Launch a “Plant a Tree with Every Prayer” initiative.
  • Organize campus and mosque-based tree plantation drives.
  • Design posters with the message: “A Cut Tree = A Lost Life.”
  • Encourage planting trees during birth celebrations.

🏫 Eco Schools & Eco Madrasahs

Slogan: Green Minds, Green Future.

Future generations need environmental education rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah. Eco schools and madrasahs will raise children to love nature and act responsibly.

  • Train teachers and imams with eco-sermon toolkits.
  • Establish eco-clubs in institutions for clean campus projects.
  • Organize drawing, essay, and debate competitions.
  • Promote solar-powered and plastic-free campuses.

🐄 Green Qurbani & Waste Management

Slogan: Sacrifice with Care, Worship with Responsibility.

Every Eid-ul-Adha, millions of animals are sacrificed, but waste and blood often pollute the streets and rivers. A Green Qurbani ensures hygiene, dignity, and sustainability.

  • Promote clean slaughtering practices with biodegradable sheets.
  • Partner with city corporations for proper waste collection.
  • Train imams to deliver eco-friendly khutbahs during Eid.
  • Distribute leaflets: “Clean Qurbani, Clean City.”
